Welcome! Two of my favourite things in life are the natural world and taking photographs. Chocolate and nice wine are next on the list. It's a close thing (come on, everyone loves chocolate and nice wine!) but nature and photos win every time. Luckily for me, photography and nature have always been good together. While it's true that chocolate and nice wine are good with pretty much anything, I'd say that they're an essential part of the editing process. Ok, maybe that's pushing it a bit, but they definitely help!  Either way, in producing the images on this website, I get to do the things that make me happy. Win!

Seriously though, I love taking photos. I love the places it takes me to, the excitement of getting the shot I wanted or the pleasure of finding a surprise hidden in an unremarkable image. I love the challenge of expressing in a picture what it is that rocks the world for me and the puzzle of teasing out what it is I see when I look at the world. In a nutshell, the whole thing lights my fire!
